ABOUT
Zoha Alvi is a writer, journalist, and researcher interested in arts, culture, history, and the stories we tell about ourselves. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Communication Studies and History at McMaster University.
She is an Associate Editor at The Silhouette, where she covers arts and culture through interviews, reporting, and long-form features. Since joining the publication in 2024, her work has extended into audio journalism and radio.
Beyond the newsroom, Zoha works as a research assistant with the Centre for Community-Engaged Narrative Arts (CCENA), contributing to communications, archival research, and community-engaged projects.
Her interests tend to wander between media, history, religion, fashion, and visual culture — usually following the question of how the past finds its way into the present. She believes every cultural moment has a history worth tracing.
